Its all go @ QPR!

As a season ticket holder at QPR I was not really suprised by this breaking news. My friend Oz text me at lunchtime and following the nightmare of a game on Sunday - a work colleage Nic (a WBA fan) gave me some grief today and as i watched the 'game' I couldn't say much to defend the outcome. The games I have been to have been poor, often by half time the boredom has sunk in and wishing I'd spent my money on something more worthwile!!If you looked closely on Sky sports when Gregory was being jibed by the WBA fans, he turned to his dug out, stuck up the two fingers and with a wry smile mouthed f*** **, who this was directed at who knows! following the excitement of new money, the club has to go some way to reach its dizzy heights that some still remember. Sad to see another manager go, but in todays cut thrust football its only to be expected.
I stiil believe that players get paid on performance, almost the same as the I was paid when i was a student in a horrible factory (will remain nameless), i only got paid on the number of items I made - maybe if these overpaid 'professionals' only get paid if they win you might see more effort for the clubs, having a salary of £4,000 per week, whether you win, play or are injured makes a mockeriy of the average working person.
On a brighter note: its great to see the comeback of the old colour football boots, I understand that addidas are bringing back the penerol boot, the ones that i finally got to wear as a youngster!!

John Gregory has been sacked as boss of Queens Park Rangers.

The former Aston Villa manager was given the boot following Sunday’s 5-1 thrashing at West Bromwich Albion.

Gregory, 53, saved QPR from relegation after taking over as manager last season but results and performances so far this season have left the Loftus Road outfit rooted firmly at the foot of the Championship table.

First team coach Mick Harford will take temporary charge ahead of the game against Colchester on Wednesday.

QPR have not won a game so far this season and were dumped out of the Carling Cup by Leyton Orient.

Club chairman Gianni Paladini said today: "The club would like to thank John for everything he has done during a difficult period as manager.

"In particular, (we would like to thank him) for saving us from relegation last season.

"The club have decided to act swiftly in time to turn things around for the remainder of the season."

Martin Allen, who recently left Leicester as manager, is one potential candidate for the job.
