the good, bad and the ugly

I always try to keep a positive mind, if life gets you down there is always something around the corner to balance it out. If something negative comes along I attempt to get past it by focusing on a better outcome. Yesterday, it was one of those days!
It started off with a bad - driving into work my temperature gauge starting to doing back flips dancing about its dial shouting out I'm having fun here and look what I can do. Below it, another function thought it would join in with the apparent fun - flashing with vigour the stop sign blazed out, repeatedly on off on off. This was a warning. Stop the car or something nasty would happen. Well, me being me, I turned off the radio (why people do this I don't know, like turning on a bedside light when answering a phone at night), clenched by cheeks and drove on with all hell breaking loose. I managed to get to work, exhausted and feeling sick. It played on my mind throughout the day, but trying to be positive I shrugged it off as a glitch and it would right itself.
It didn't, the journey home was worse, at times I thought about taking a detour so that I wouldn't block traffic and create a jam)enduring the scouring faces as they drive past you is not a pastime I enjoy.
finally I got home, did I need a coffee!
Here comes the good - phoned breakdown service AA who arrived well within the time specified, worked out the problem and departed, a brilliant service (I even emailed customer services to compliment them)
The Bad - because I had been concentrating on the functionality of my car, when I stopped I wasn't really on the ball; parked just on curb, result £50 pareking fine. I could rant on here about traffic wardens, the local council, money grabbing etc. but keeping that positive frame of mind I went to my studio and carried on with my pink painting - which went well.
Two coffees down, tight brushwork and a smiling son - the worlds' much better
